Speaking of Crafts
I just finished preparing something for my first art exchange in several years. Hurray. They are ginko leaf charms for an autumn fiber-art charm exchange. I am pretty happy with how they came out and they have given me a good idea for an art-quilt project that I will start working on this week so I am excited.

We
have a bed! On Sunday we found this bed on craigslist and it was too interesting not to go look at. We went, looked, and couldn't decide if we liked it or not... and then we decided it was too unusual not to buy. The former owner had bought it at the furniture outlets in NC and it was clearly a furniture show prototype (by the lack of furniture mfg info and proper finishing). It also came with a funky full-length mirror. Hurray.
Since we put it up it has been growing on me. I am thinking that some art-crafts or mission style dressers may be in order for that room... or maybe something empire and mahogony. Or that tiger oak double-dresser we looked at this summer. Nikki and I are going to antique stores this morning to start gathering ideas.
