5/13 King Minos and the Minotaur
The Minotaur ate people and they always sent people for the Minotaur to eat and once a girl helped a guy kill the Minotaur. The Minotaur lived in a labyrinth.
We studied the Minoans yesterday and today. Today we started reading Black Ships Before Troy (a retelling of the Illiad). It is pretty good... the author tried to keep some of the flavor of the language and metaphors of homer's epic poem while still making it a manageable story. We'll have to see if it is too hard... or too scary.
