Ben really enjoyed paddling and being out on the boat. When I took him out in the canoe he paddled like a champ -- I would take him as a canoeing partner any day.
Kayaking on Long Island Sound
My parent have a 2 man kayak and a small, inflatable canoe so we took the boys out on the sound for their first boating experience. Nik did surprisingly well sitting still in the boat. Who would have thunk it?! Nik even tried paddling a little when I took him out.

Today the sound was little rough and when Yuli and Ben went out in the inflatable kayak, I thought Ben would be scared. But he was not - he was trying to talk Yuli to go out to catch the bigger waves (they were not really waves - just rough sea, but still it was very impressive).
