Happy Halloween!

We had a whirlwind halloween this year! On Thursday, LEAD (our homeschool group) had a huge Halloween party! There were crafts, snacks, a parade, and a costume contest. Nikki won the prize for "Scariest"...

On Friday our neighborhood had it's Halloween potluck dinner. The party culminates in a group photo and a mob of trick-or-treaters hitting the street at once.

This week we did several crafts in addition to the usual pumpkin carving. We made ghost lanterns from jam jars and floating ghosts from fabric soaked in glue (and dried on an armature made from tennis balls, wine bottles and chopsticks). Both crafts came out really cute... I hung the ghosts from our tree and they looked great.

Here are the ghost lanterns lit up at night (with votive candles)...

Sounds like a very busy and fun holiday. The boys (and you) look great. Must have been warm as you are in short sleeves.

All decorations look great!
Did you make Nik's costume? He looks great in it.
And you need to make a good picture of Ben in his costume, running. And then put the picture side by side with a picture of Ian (probably at the same age) in similar costume.
