Dog-schooling

Since Shadow is so agile we have been teaching him some tricks... we've been teaching him to jump through a hoop.. and he has gotten pretty good!

Goldfish crackers are a pretty good motivator!

I'd be happy if Liesel wouldn't pee or poop on the bathroom floor. It's a behavior thing as she doesn't have one accident when she's at the dog trainer's house.

Shadow is a smart dog.

Be careful!
Do not give kids any ideas.
I nearly run away to the circus school at one time. Albeit, I read a lot of books before I trained my cat,or learned how to balance a chair on two legs, or how to twist a pencil between the fingers.
But you are planting the seeds right now.

No worries about the circus. Both kids are afraid of clowns.

I don't like clowns but never was afraid of them.

Don't know if you've heard, but I went to the ER by ambulance from my doctor's office Fri. for severe lower back pain with high blood pressure. I normally have very good blood pressure but it spiked from the pain and my breathing. Turns out I have shingles. Once I got on the right meds, it's been much, much better. I'm out of work for the week. Doing a lot of sleeping, reading, knitting but mostly sleeping. I had had the shingles shot last Dec. but still got them. My doctor said that the shot is not 100% foolproof and that's why my case is milder. Glad this didn't happen right before or when Tami and the girls are here. My dog has been at the dog trainer's and comes home tomorrow.

Tina,
I hope you will feel better soon.
I am so sorry that you got shingles. I have heard that it is very painful. Hope your case will be mild as your doctor thinks and you will be in good shape when girls come to visit.

Olga,

Thank you for your concern. I am feeling better and my back pain has lessened a lot thanks to good drugs. My rash is drying up. Yes, I have a milder case due to the shot I had back in Dec. I'm so thankful I didn't come down with this right before Tami and the girls'arrival or when they are here. I sleep a lot and am on the couch watching movies a lot too. I don't have much energy. I really want to go back to work on Monday. I had been hoping to go back today but realized how foolish that thought was. I just picked up my dog from the dog trainer late this afternoon. Boy, she's like a different dog and so much behaved and tired out from playing all day with other day care dogs. She needs to go to doggie day care several days a week to play with other dogs and get lots of exercise.

I urge you and your husband to get the shingles shot if you haven't.

Thanks again,

Tina

Tina,
I am glad to hear that your are so much better. Do not overextend yourself - leave the house alone - have some rest!
Thank you for advice, I will look into it, we never even considered having shingles shots before.

Olga,

I read about the shingles vaccine in a women's magazine.

I keep thinking this will all just go away and I'll wake up with no pain and my normal energy - WRONG!

I'm glad you are starting to feel better, Tina. From what I hear shingles are horribly painful. I hope you are completely better before Tamara and the kids arrive.
