This week I am doing beginning-of-3rd-grade benchmark testing with Ben and the results are great - he didn't fall too far back over the time we took off and he is reading at grade-level speed on a grade-level passage (Dibels). He also scored at grade level on the San Diego Reading Assessment. Woo hoo... I'm so, SO proud of him.
Next week we start our fall lineup which includes Sopris West's Rewards program to help him with reading multi-syllabic words... so by this spring I hope to get him at least a full grade level ahead.
