Rain, rain, go away

It was another wet week for us. The first day was nice then the rain caught up with us. It rained hard a couple of nights and during the days it was cold and misty or cold and drizzly. One particularly cold (high 40’s) and rainy night we went through 3 bundles of firewood trying to keep warm.

We tidepooled in drizzles, Ben and Ian biked in fog, and Nik and I sat at Sandy Beach in fog so heavy we couldn’t see the water with a fierce blowing wind and a constant drizzle. For 2.5 hours. BRRR. We didn’t get to do as much hiking as we wanted (polished granite cliffs and rain are a bad combination) so we ended up doing many of the tourist things (Cadillac, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, etc).

On our last day, as if to tease us, the sky was clear and the weather was fantastic.
