At first he was bubbling over with enthusiasm about the tooth fairy; he couldn’t wait to put the tooth under his pillow and get $1… then right before bedtime he got really clingy. After he got in bed he started crying. He didn’t want the tooth fairy to take his tooth, but he really wanted the money. More importantly he wasn’t ready to grow up “I’m growing too fast.”
We sat by the fire with him for a while calming him down and finally I made a deal with him – I gave him $.25 and let him keep his tooth… so we’ll see what happens. I suspect greed may overcome possessiveness at some point and he will put the tooth out.

I've been into your blog quite a few times since our Sunday get together and have almost caught up with your summer camping adventure. What a great time you all are having and what an exciting
outdoor education/experience the boys are having. Too bad Chris, Tami and the girls were not here to go on some of it with you four.
It was so good to see you all on Sunday as it had been since Sept. 2000 in Ann Arbor. Things sure have changed since then. I see your yearly Xmas pictures of the boys but it was nice to finally meet them. You both should be proud of such well behaved and beautiful children.
Nice to have time to visit with your parents. Sure hope we all get together in the near future when you are up in CT and Tami and the girls are here visiting.
Enjoy the rest of your camping adventure before settling down in your new home. I don't want to post my email but you can get it from Tami.
