Death Note is coming to Cartoon Network!

I had to shout this to the world... the anime of Death Note is coming October 20th to Cartoon Network.

For those of you who don't know Death Note ... it is one of the best manga series. It has a huge following in Japan - it has spawned several live action movies that were more popular that Harry Potter. It is illegal in China (and you know if it is illegal in China is MUST be good). It is a series about a teenage boys who find a notebook that belongs to a Japanese death god (shinigami). Any person whose name he writes in the notebook dies. He decides to use the notebook to make the world a better place by killing criminals. The series follows two major themes - how power corrupts and the cat and mouse chase between Light (the boy) and L (a detective).

If you have never read manga (or a graphic novel) before this is a good starting place - buy it. (Manga is a great use of the amazon 4 for 3 promotion).
