Instead of toys or candy -- each day brings a new activity. This week we have:1 -- Make Snowflakes
2 -- Surprise Pancakes
3 -- Write Letters to Santa
4 -- Buy Yard Decorations
5 -- Make Hannukah Decorations
6 -- Decorate Yard
7 -- Movie/Popcorn night
I made little origami cups and hung them on a miniature tree. Each day the boys take down one cup and read the activity.

If you know you're going to make pancakes, then are they really a surprise? Or do you mean they'll be surprise pancakes because of a secret ingredient, like...maybe...anchovies? :-)
Actually the surprise was that sprinkels (not anchovies) were on the under side of the pancakes. I make a lot of surprise foods -- surprise apples usually have something hidden under the peanut butter such as chocolate chips or marshmellows. Ben made Surprise Cereal on Saturday. He hid apple slices under the cereal for everyone!
