I'm sitting here and crying...

Ben is sitting on the couch reading The Swiss Fun Run (a decodable book from Reading A-Z) to Nik. He is reading it beautifully, sounding out the words when he has to. It has 246 words!!! I can't even begin to say how amazing it is to listen to him read this book so beautifully. This is the longest book that he has ever read by himself!

As a grandma, I have goosebumps. What a change since you started teaching him. He is learning so much and equally as importantly, he is feeling so good about himself. As his mom, you must be bursting with joy.

P.S. I am going to look at a one year old red doxie male here in town (An AKC breeder and judge needs to find a loving home for him.) It's a week today since I lost my lovely Streusel.

He was beautiful and the woman put him in my lap and he contently sat there and every now and then sniffed my face. I want to talk to a dog trainer that I know from the scrapbook store crops as he is 16 months old and I don't know if he is completely accident-free. I want to know about training if I got him and also he has been with 3other doxies and I would not want him to be heartbroken. I'm gone all day at work and he'd be alone. I'd have to have the radio on for him. He is a beautiful red mini and another breeder told me that this woman's dogs are very good quality and healthy. I did like him a lot.

I stumbled across your blog, and looked back a bit to see how you began your recent homeschooling journey.

I homeschool my 8 year old son, and he seems similar to Ben. (Especially the part about wanting to wiggle all the time!)

I'm glad you are enjoying your time with him, and if you ever have any questions (for someone who isn't a stero-typical homeschool mum - I even work full-time, gasp!) let me know.

Have a great journey together! (Egypt sounds so fascinating!)
