We found a neat desk by the side of the road. Ben worked really hard to sand the top and side surfaces and paint them with chalkboard paint:

Great desk someone put out for the trash.
American History - loved studying it. I love going to historical places and Katya has gotten to see a lot of them this summer with us/me.

Chalkboard paint makes any surface into a chalkboard -- so Ben can draw all over his desk with chalk.
