ARGH!

Would someone PLEASE let me know which god I pissed off... and what I need to do to appease him or her...

Our buyers refuse to buy the house unless we put in a new furnace and AC. WTF?!?!?! The furnace and AC both work. I had the AC blasting all summer and the furnace has been keeping the house cozy warm despite the arctic weather we've been having.

Have you EVER heard of buyers asking sellers to replace a functional system?!

I -- don't -- get -- it.

What did we do wrong?!?!?!

Should I burn some sage? Light a candle?

Ian visited 7 more homes today. None of them are perfect. Our realtor is steering us away from the one we like the most because it is hard to sell...

I just want to crawl in a hole and hide.

Every time I think this whole mess couldn't possibly get any worse it does.

The only bright spot in the last week has been my movers and they left today. Along with all our belongings and furnishings. We have had the best movers EVER. They have been kind, sweet, helpful, and warm. When they saw my kids were stressed they took their own TV out of their sleeper cab and loaned it to us for the weekend.

I miss their cheerful banter already.

Oh Katya! I am so sorry about the whole ordeal. What a horrible mess. If I wwere religious, I'd say a prayer. Since I'm not, just know that you are in my thoughts.

I hope the perfect house is found PDQ for you guys.

Did the inspector steer the potential buyers to demand new A/C and furnace? If your systems work fine, then WTF is right.

That's the most amazing part... the furnace and AC are listed as old but working fine in the report.

Since the word "old" is in the report, they maybe are leery and trying to see what they can get.

Honestly, I think they chickened out.

They realized that 3 teenage boys living in an old house in a residential neighborhood was going to be a mistake...

Life is such a series of ups and downs. Remember that things can look VERY different tomorrow and this will all be a faded memory. Hold onto the positive and push the negative away. Easier said than done, but remember this will all be better soon.
