We have had a pretty rough week - hence no posts. The boys have been at each other's throats. Nikki won't let Ben fall asleep and then wakes him up in the morning. He follows him everywhere and wants everything he has. They clashed, screamed, fought, yelled, and threw tantrums all week. Every day. All day. I finally took to putting one on the rug in my room and one in the sun room to keep them separated.
The only minute of quiet all week should have made me suspicious. I came up to find Ben had drawn a moustache and beard using green, permanent marker on Nik. Sigh.
We have had the boys sharing a room but we may need to rethink that decision. We may put the boys in separate bedrooms and make upstairs a studio/office. I will miss my big and sunny studio but I think the boys need space from each other. We are going to try Ben downstairs for a week and see how it goes.
Spelling Success
Ben got 100% on his last spelling test! Hurray! We also got his report card - 3 A's and 1 B. It is crazy that they are graded, isn't it?! He has regular tests, projects are graded, and so are in class assignments. Spelling, capitalization, and proper punctuation are all required. I don't remember 1st grade being so demanding!

Ah, boys will be boys. Keep loving them (I know you will!) and eventually they'll grow out of their fighting attitudes...just wait 20 years or so. :-)
