I am hoping, when I get better, we can go to England and visit the dig site.
At first Ben was a little confused... but then he started catching on and enjoyed it. We are supplementing it with additional grammar instruction so we studied declining the verb SUM (to be) in the present tense...
sum (I am) summus (we are)
es (you are) estis (you pl. are)
est (he/she/it is) sunt (they are)
You plural is usually confusing to students. Not in the south... here we have a "you plural" -- y'all. So for us estis = y'all are. Yee haw.

My husband is from Rhode Island and says that people there said "yous guys".
Because of Minimus, we did take a day trip to go to Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum (and Alnwick Castle where a couple of Harry Potter movies were filmed) while spending a week in Edinburgh. We even bought Minimus Secundus there...
Oh! How was it! Did you see their house?? Do you have pictures?
I had 4 years of Latin in HS.
I've deleted most of the ones in my flick album due to the 200 photo limit.
Here is one (there are others in the same set):
