Glimpses of our homeschooling week

After planning, but not getting to, projects because our mornings are so tight we have changed our schedule up a bit -- we are now doing 6 weeks of school followed by 1 week of assessment and projects. So this week we worked on a history project and a science project...

For history we made a paper model of a Viking war ship. You would think, after tackling the disastrous diorama this fall I would not have been eager to take on another paper model... but Ben loves his diorama so much that I offered this up as one of our project choices. It was a lot of cutting and finicky gluing... but it was easier than the other project.
