It's like deja vu all over again

It's like deja vu all over again around here. We are again in the midst of having our whole lives up in the air. The uncertainty, AGAIN, involves the potential to go overseas. Very soon if it comes through. For 6-12 months.

So we, again, are spending all weekend alternating between paralyzing confusion and panicky preparations.

This time it looks likely enough that we have actually bought boxes and started packing up some of the house so we can rent it out. It is hard to pack when you are not sure if you will be cursing as you unpack the following weekend or wishing you had gotten your butt in gear and done more to get ready. Oy vey!

Where might we be going? Once again, I can't say till it comes through or falls apart. My only hint to y'all is that there is a more than 12 hour time difference involved this time.

The stress of this constant drama is getting to me. At this point I don't even really care where we go or if we go or anything. I just want closure. Hopefully we will either have visas and tickets by the middle of this week... or not. I can't believe we are on this roller-coaster again.

Why so rushed? Can't you wait until you know and then pack? It must be horrible wondering and then packing.

12 hour time difference - Hmmmmm. Moscow is 8 so you are probably going to the Orient is my guess.

P.S. Is it worth all the work to pack up the house for such a short time?

Unfortunately once we know for certain, we won't have much time to get ready. And we need to clear out our stuff so we can rent out the house. Luckily we are renting it our fully furnished -- so we only need to pack up things like books, clothes, and art work. The rest will stay out for the family that will stay here.

Do you know the people that are renting? You're very trusting - much more than I would be but then I'm anal that way.
